The Shifty...

So thought id add a quick message today after a weekend of shredding the new NeverRide Shifty.

Patrick sent over two of them to Rob and me, they arrived at Rob's work and he carried them back with him on the night bus (he was working nights that week). I took the grip tape skate and Rob wanted the foam top, so it worked out nicely.

I'd tried the foam top skate on the Road trip and really liked it, however i prefere grip. Its probably the 15 odd years i spent skateboarding when i was younger... I rode for a couple of hours on  Saturday getting used to it again and really liked it, i had allot of fun riding with a few friends, Rob, Mark and Jamie. However; today i must have really got used to it, i went round and round the lake unable to fall on any tricks i tried... Which was pretty sweet!

Its really an amazing skate, it was a little windy today but the skate has enough weight to deal with that. I have no idea what the slider base is made out of, but to Patrick's credit, he has researched the wood and the base of the skates very well, its SUPER slidy and although the wood looks thin, its very strong and has a massive pop, i struggled a little on Saturday because i couldent get my feet back on the skate, it kept popping to high... Today however, that was not a problem... Which is pretty cool!

If anyone reading this is thinking about getting a new skate, talk to Patrick about demoing the Shifty... Cos its BAD ASS!
