UGP Underground Products also known as "UGP" was launched in 1986 as a brand dedicated to providing a home and a voice for the people who live and breathe the bike and board cultures. The movement started to create products that would accurately represent the underground sub-culture devoted to this lifestyle. Today, UGP's collection of multifunctional lifestyle products still embodies our vision and commitment to creating a voice through UGP Underground Products that these cultures will relate to and respect.

Based in Sun Valley, Idaho, Smith Optics, Inc. was founded in 1965 with the creation of the first-ever goggle featuring a sealed thermal lens and breathable vent foam. In the early years, founder Dr. Bob Smith, an orthodontist by trade, made goggles by hand using dental tools, foam and glue. Before he struck a deal for manufacturing of Smith goggles in the late 60's, Smith would often trade his creations for lift tickets. These early prototypes were usually manufactured by Smith and friends around the kitchen table.

DAGO (deygow); The American slang for „until the day goes“ and ist he supremacist name that Americans used to label the Italian emigrants in their country. It means change, courage and ambition, moreover fusion between alternate worlds and styles.
Dago is the philosophy of people, who are faced with tough situations, that just don’t break down and give up but would rather wear a smile while accepting everything they threw at them, in order to continue to live a dream.
To be able to understand the roots of where our ancestors orginated from has pushed us to give this brand a strong „truly home made“ identity, which was born and raised in Italy.
